Geocache Description:

The spooky Screaming Tunnel...

Welcome to the Haunted Screaming Tunnel Cache.

You must pass through the haunted screaming tunnel to get to the cache.

HISTORY OF THE TUNNEL:

When the house that once stood behind the tunnel burned down, the family's daughter attempted to flee through the tunnel. Unable to extinguish her flaming clothes and hair, she collapsed, screaming, and died in the tunnel. If you're willing to trudge through some muddy brush, you can see the charred concrete foundations of a house on the far side of the tunnel.
There are different stories I have heard regarding this. Another I have heard was a father set his daughter on fire and she ran into the tunnel and died. Rumour has it, if you go to the tunnel at midnight and light a match or candle, it will be blown out and you will hear a screaming girl. (NO, we have never tried it out).

Was used for a scene in the 1983 movie "The Dead Zone," with Christopher Walken's character hiding inside

In this cache you will find your typical items when geo caching, but this one will also contain original music CD's. Drop off your ORIGINAL music CD's you no longer listen to and trade it for one that is located inside the cache. Please do not leave copies.
