Geocache Description:

The Pickle Barrel House, 1940s

The Pickle Barrel House was built in 1926. As a gift for his wife, William Donahey had a pickle barrel constructed on the north shore of Grand Sable Lake. (Mary Dickerson Donahey was the creator of the famous Teenie Weenies children's characters who lived in a pickle barrel.) The building functioned as a summer cottage for the Donaheys for ten years and was then moved into town where it served as an information booth. The barrel is two stories and about 16' tall and in need of restoration at this point. You will need to post a pic of your GPSr and the house to log this one
