Your destination is to get to a fire-pit on top of the rock face,... 0.43 mile distant. You can not get there from here, and do not attempt to climb straight up!..follow trail that does a large winding ZIG ZAG... Check photos or my log of: 2/11/19 for copy of trail map ! Locate fire pit at the top of this rock outcropping, and enjoy the view. Caution, bee's encountered just before fire pit. The coordinates for fire pit are: 41 20.704 73 25.374
The coordinates given are the starting point in the town of Bethel, and not of the cache itself, but, dont bother going there! Find TROWBRIDGE DR and park at end of...at cul de sac...at 41 20.828 73 25.245 This two stage cache has been simplified on ...2/27/2019.... as it was a bit too complected for most..see below..copy of original posting:..... The start point [ coords posted ] is post #5 "buried fibre optic cable" between utility poles 702 and 703. Take a magnetic bearing of 305 degrees, and you will see a rock face just above the tree line. Binoculars helpful. During full foliage/ summer, tops of trees have grown and do cover up the rock face! Your destination is to get on top of this rock face 0.43 mile distant. You can not get there from here, and do not attempt to climb straight up! A compass is required and a trail map would be handy.Its about a one mile hike each way, mostly uphill, but not too steep, and a good clear trail most of the way. Locate fire pit at the top of this rock outcropping, and enjoy the view. Caution, bee's encountered just before fire pit.
