Geocache Description:

The hunt starts near Echternach and ends between Steinheim and Rosport (+/- 7 km). It will make you discover a rocky landscape of geological interest. If you dont’t want to walk back the whole track, you may continue your way down to the valley and take the bus at Steinheim or walk along the bicycle track leading to Echternach.

TASK 1

At N 49°48.512’ E 006°26.886’ take a little break on the bench and note the number of windmills you can see.

TASK 2

At N 49° 48.468’ E 006° 27.029’ look at the info-post and note the dates of the Jura period (XXX – XXX) and the trias period (XXX-XXX).

TASK 3

At N 49° 48.787’ E 006° 27.979’ look for the symbolic plant of the « Deutsch-Luxemburgischer Naturpark» and count the leaves of it.

TASK 4

At N 49° 48.800’ E 006° 28.020’, on the rock, note the number of hours needed to reach Rosport.

TASK 5

From N 49° 48.479’ E 006° 29.167’ go to the cache which is situated at the coordinates calculated as follows :

N ab° a8.c08' E 00d° 2b.0db’

a = Number found in task 3 minus number found in task 4
b = 2nd number found in task 2 (xXx-xxx)
c = number found in task 3
d = Add the numbers found in task 3 and 4.
