Geocache Description:

This is a great family-friendly cache for anyone passing through who would like to do a dash-and-cache in regular clothes and with no bug spray. The cache container has recently been replaced and now is a regular sized Tupperware container and will also (hopefully) serve as a Travel Bug hotel. (We forgot ours to leave in).


The newly rehidden cache is more out of the way of muggles. To help geocachers bag it, there is a characteristic indication.

Please rehide it well esp. once the leaves have fallen. The cache is about 250' from the closest parking spot and there is a narrow trail most of the way in.

Since I got lots of serious chigger bites from the other cache in this same rest area (serious bushwacking, quite a distance in, AND I was wearing shorts), we designed this one to be safer/simpler. I DID spray myself with 'OFF' when planting this cache just to be sure. Prudence is advised especially the greater the skin exposure and depending on the season.

The new cache container has a log book and some stuff for the kids.

Thanks to gnbrotz for his meticulous coordinate recording. I've averaged mine and his final readings so the listing should be pretty accurate!
