Geocache Description:

Fort Eaton had 16 log buildings built into a square. Eight families lived here during the Indian uprising of 1855-56. Nathaniel Eaton owned the land on which it was built. The site is now marked with a plaque and the origional oak tree still stands above it. There is also a memorial for the Willamette Meridian here. Find a new place! DubyaDee
