The entry point to this cache is located between two yellow posts at 35 26.982N/97 38.716W. Turn off onto the dirt and park at 35 26.909N/97 38.728W. Parking is permitted in the field area. Entry into the habitat is by foot bridge.
This cache is a part of the Bridgestone Firestone OKC Wildlife Habitat Project. This area is proof of what can be done with a former hazardous waste site. This area has been cleaned up and turned into a natural habitat for wildlife indigenous to this area. The objective of this cache is to show visitors to the area what good environmental stewardship by a company committed to the community and the environment can do to improve and protect the natural beauty in the area. The term ”Wasteland to Wildlife Habitat” truly reflects this area. Enjoy the visit. Please don’t disturb the wildlife. Just enjoy the sounds and beauty of this area. Happy Geocaching!
This cache was started containing various promotional items including shirts, flashlights, pens, ball caps and key chains. The location of the cache will require some effort but is fairly easy to locate.
