Access to this cache is from the parking lot of the parking lot at the end of Elk River Road. The trail is an old road, with the first one-half mile paved, which extends for around five and a half miles. The trail is open all year to day hiking and dogs are allowed. Pick up a brochure and take the walk past the cache to the Falk Townsite.

The GPS reception is spotty while walking this trail because of the tree cover and narrow canyon. The best we could get were FOMs of about 20 feet. The cache is located about 9 - 10 feet off the edge of the pavement, and there is no need to go up or down any hills farther than that. Please try and avoid the few plants at the location.
Look or feel for the cache-retrieval-apparatus which will be just over an edge. It may be possible to see the clear plastic container but don't lean too far or hard. Also don't put too much pressure on the trail side of the apparatus. The cache may be removed from the apparatus to move while logging-in if necessary.
