This is the Devil's Cascade cache reborn after being relocated from the BWCA and topped off with new items. The new site is located a short distance off a portage trail.
The cache has found a new home near a different cascade!As a side trip, the Vermilion Falls is a short walk to the south of the access road on a trail improved with boardwalks and steps (and picnic tables, etc). Small children should be kept in hand as there are steep dropoffs, although most are protected with railings.A less-traveled portage trail heads north from the access road toward (and around) a pretty mini-cascade in a small gorge. This location reminded us of the old Devil's Cascade home of the cache and seemed appropriate for its new home. The cache is a standard ammo box with Geocache sticker on the side.
