Geocache Description:

Plastic box with a view of both the Salt & Ohio Rivers.

This has definately got to be the most extreme western (or southwestern) cache in Jefferson County. Just finding this little known park will be a small challenge in itself. You'll need to find Abbot's Beach Road off Dixie Highway (31W). From there there is a one lane country road through a small riverside community. The speed limit is only 15mph. Watch for children and loose dogs.

Once at the parking area, leave your car behind and you'll have another 0.8 of a mile to the cache itself. In Autumn this walk is quite pleasant, but in Summer you should most definately bring your mosquito repellent!

The cache is an ammo box with a good view of both the Salt and Ohio rivers. It is NOT on ground level and is probably out of range of all but the most extreme high water if it is put back "inside" its original spot. Please camoflague the cache as you found it. Happy trails!
