You hardly need to get out of the car - except that parking is awkward - you'd be safest leaving the car at the village green and walking back to the cache site. The traffic really zips along the road too - so please take care.
The info board will tell you about the medieval mound, the moat and abandoned village and the 2nd world war gun emplacement! (it's for a Spigot Mortar or 'Blacker Bombard' anti-tank weapon
The cache itself is a small tupperware pot (cup size), containing only a small folded log-book. Please take a pen or pencil, as I didn't have one small enough to fit into the er.. receptical.

This is something of an experiment, as I don't know how it will standup to weather and useage. Its also a very public area, close to the village, so there's a danger of discovery. Should I perhaps have made it harder to find...?
When you know where it is, you can reach and grab it by pretending to tie your shoe...
