Geocache Description:

The local falls at maccamob’s ninetieth cache were at their best after recent rain. The name is a reference to the area’s history and the name of the falls, not to Jason and the Argonauts. The area has been registered as a classified landscape by the National Trust.

A brochure explaining the marked points of interest you will see is available free from the Beechworth Visitor Information Centre. There is also a brochure on the 5km Gorge Scenic Drive, constructed in 1926, that is well worth a detour.

Having first called in at the famous Beechworth Bakery, proceed to the car park at S 36º 19.158, E 146º 40.123, enjoy your purchases, then set out along the Historic Walk. The cache is hidden just beyond the half-way point, but you will need to head into the scrub along a disused track about 90m from GZ. As usual, please ensure the cache is well hidden from casual observation again before you leave.
