You can Lead a Horse to Water, but can you make him drink?

This multi-cache will lead you on a tour of our town’s historic horse watering troughs from which you will gain the clues needed to find the final hiding place. Several of these civic improvements of a bygone era are now maintained as flower gardens by the Littleton Country Gardeners. At least one is still bubbling on occasion.

N42 32.787, W071 28.349, find the historic marker about 50 yards southeast of the trough, where you will find that the Town Meeting House was started in 17km, completed in 17ea, and used until 17ce.

N42 32.047, W071 26.973, find the granite pillar about 20 yards south which shows the location of houses number h, b, and k on Betsy Lane.

N42 32.335, W071 29.031, find the plaques on the building about 50 feet to the east and read the names of Littleton men who served in the “War of the Rebellion” from 1ngk to 1ngh

N42 32.274, W071 30.767, read the inscription on the trough which was presented to the Town of Littleton by the Littleton Grange, whose number plus two equals kdf.

To visit the hiding place, park at N42 ab.hdk, W071 af.mdk, and then take a short stroll along the trail to N42 ab.ccd, W071 af.hfn.
