Beaver Slide,,, Four Cache Mini Loop Multi-Cache

This cache has been archived.

Mudfrog: First off, i do want to reiterate that i did receive permission to place this cache from one of the Park's Directors at the Woodville office when we put it out a little over 11 years ago. Their policy now is to not allow physical geocaches in the Park's boundaries. When i had heard this a few years ago, i called the Beaumont office to confirm and found that it is true. The Director at that time told me that new cache placement is not allowed but at the same time, existing caches weren't of much concern.

On this cache, i was recently informed that it could be causing some unwanted social trails. I got to thinking about it and i now think i know where the main problem lies. There is an existing trail that leads away from the main trail that was in place before i ever put out the cache. We placed one of the stages on this trail thinking that it was part of the official trail system.

The cache itself doesn't get visited very often so i'm sure it isn't causing problems. This being said, i'm going to go ahead and archive it to alleviate concerns.

Thanks to all who visited our cache, we hope that you enjoyed your outing in this beautiful area!

Geocache Description:

We enjoyed finding the Four Cache Loop cache put out by Ty Dolney, so decided to put out our own smaller version.

This little trail loop is approximately 1.3 miles in length and is easy to follow. Most of the time it shouldnt be too difficult, but it does look like the area may have standing water or even flood during heavy rains. Remember that this is a woodsy area and has the usual clientele of mosquitos, snakes and various other varmints. Did see the biggest Copperhead that ive ever seen, so do watch your step! While you are here, be sure to check out the carvings left behind from some of the inhabitants of the area.

Like Ty's, this has four stages. The first three are small camoflaged containers and have coordinates inside that take you to the next stage. The fourth is the main cache that houses lots of geocache trinkets. Dont forget to log your find in the logbook and here at GeoCaching.com.

We hope that you enjoy this beautiful area and have fun finding our cache!

Had some difficulty getting good GPSr readings so below are 4 hints, one for each stage of the cache starting with the first.
