Two important notes before we start: 1) The coordinates provided in the heading are NOT the location of the actual cache, but to the suggested parking area for the cache. 2) This cache CANNOT be attempted until two local micros have been completed.
Welcome to Pratt Park. The park offers several picnic areas, playgrounds, basketball courts, soccer fields, and hiking trials. Wildlife includes squirrels, turtles, minnows, deer, and various types of birds. This is a multi-cache. Steps to the final treasure are as follows: Step 1: Complete the caches Fredericksburg Hurkamp Park and Fredericksburg’s Kenmore Park. Coordinates given inside those caches will lead you to… (NOTE: Both local micros are gone. Here are the clues you would have found there: "Pratt Park Lat: 38° 18.936’" and "Pratt Park Lon: 77° 27.463'") Step 2: Proceed to the coordinates obtained from the micros. Here you will find a ‘micro’ clue that will lead you to… Step 3: Proceed to the final coordinates and the treasure. The final cache container used to be a green ammo-can. I can't believe in this remote location non-players found it and plundered it. So I had to replace it with a Glad-ware container. There are several trails that lead relatively close to the cache, including a stream you can follow. Bushwhacking should be minimal. As in many off trail caches, watch out for ivy, snakes, and especially spiders. Lot's of people have been having troubles with this cache, because of spotty reception in the valley, and also dense tree cover. I suggest trying to find the path on the other side of the valley (from step 2), and walk along that path, until your GPS shows where the best place to drop into the valley is.
