Geocache Description:

Welcome to the Heart of Dixie: Alabama!

Within these borders are so many activities it boggles the mind! Natural wonders abound, from canyons to lakes and forests to beaches. If the weather isn't cooperating, there are plenty of indoor activities that will bring you culture! Alabama is full of museums and also boasts the Alabama Symphony Orchestra and the Alabama Shakespeare Festival. And of course, there are tons of geocaches!

While you're at the welcome center, stop in and find out about all of the wonderful things awaiting you!

The cache is a small ammo can that is just off a hiking trail at the Alabama I-59 welcome center. It's about a .15 mile hike from the parking lot. You don't need to leave the trail to find the cache, although the trail is faint and somewhat hard to see.

Please re-cover the cache as you found it.
