Geocache Description:

A micro hide meant to challenge geocachers in full view with lots of traffic.

Rather than searching a remote area with multiple hiding locations and poor GPS coverage, this cache should challenge your skill with a GPS receiver. While setting the cache, multiple WAAS enabled measurements were taken with accuracies of 3 Dimensional Differential of 8 feet.

The coordinates above will bring you to the intersection of Bear Creek Parkway and 168th Ave NE. There are two rocks just southwest of the intersection; one being ideal to sit on while taking its coordinates. To determine the cache coordinates, you will adjust the coordinates of the rock using a “numeral one digit key” found on the paved trail approximately 700 feet east of the rock. The required digit (A=1, Z=26) is the first letter of the second line.

Multiply the “numeric key” times three and add to the decimal minutes of the rock’s latitude to get the latitude of the cache. Add 80 to the “numeric key” and subtract the result from the decimal minutes of the rock’s longitude to get the longitude of the cache.

Once discretely located and logged this cache should be carefully placed as found to assure following searchers maximum challenge and avoid public discovery.
