ILReviewer: While I hate to archive a webcam cache, since the webcam is unusable, and I haven't heard from the owner, I'm reluctantly archiving this cache.

Geocache Description:

This cache is hidden within 100 ft of a webcam on the campus of Bradley University

Tower Cache

This is a combination microcache and webcam cache.  Both are located in the vicinity of the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department on the Bradley University Campus. The GPS signal will become very weak in this location. The area around the cache is fairly secluded, although you may sometimes feel like several eyes are staring down at you.  Please use discretion.  Above all else… do not open any gates and STAY AWAY FROM ELECTRICAL UTILITIES!  I did not hide the cache in these areas.

You must find the microcache to get credit.  Obtaining a photo on the WebCam is optional.  The webcam is located within 100 ft of this cache.   You will find instructions on the location of this camera on the log sheet.  With a partner's help, you position yourself in front of the camera and call your friend to have them take a picture of you by clicking on the following link:

http://gdansk.bradley.edu/olekmali/projects/webcam/index.html

You can then upload your photo to the geocaching web site as part of logging your find.  It is not yet possible to save photos in the traditional way with the current code.  However, one way is to capture the screen using Shift-PrintScreen and then pasting the photo into any number of picture programs.

Alternatively, the following link will obtain a still image that is easily saved by right-clicking the mouse.  Clicking the refresh button will update the camera view.

Many thanks to the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department and especially to Dr. Aleksander Malinowski for the use of his WebCam.

note added June 14, 2005
As stated in the description, taking a picture is optional and finding the hidden cache will be given full credit. However, I’m noticing that several people are only posting notes and not receiving credit. Because this is classified as a WebCam Cache, users probably need to log the find as a “Web Cam Photo Taken”. I don’t have Administrator privileges to change the log and can only delete those that are inappropriate. You should be able to go into the edit section and change your log. Sorry for the confusion. Bush Dog
