This location is an easy hike from a gravel road named "Suzy Q". Finding the cache should not be difficult in good weather, however heavy snow cover may make this a much more difficult find. It's a short drive off the highway towards a large metal tower which also happens to be a bench mark (UV4782). This was our first attempt at hiding a cache, so we hope we got our coordinates right. There are no obstructions preventing good satellite reception. Let us know how we did.
This is true tundra, with an amazing view of the Delta River Valley. Walk out onto the Tundra and take in the vastness of this area. It is truly grand. Contents of the cache really are "mostly Walla Walla" - items from our home town in Washington State. Walla Walla mini mug "" "" Stein "" "" Shot glass "" "" Playing Cards "" "" Winery Post Card "" "" Clip Magnet "" "" Onion Pin "" "" Penitentiary Key Chain Toy car Hair bands Rubber ball And Travel Bug "Sweetie Onion", representing the famous Walla Walla Sweet Onions. Sweety just wants to move around the world spreading the word about the onion you can eat like an apple (no, we’ve never done that, but they really are very big, sweet and mild). Maybe some day Sweety will wind up in Vidalia Georgia, where her arch rival, the Vidalia Sweet Onion resides(tiny little things in comparison). Admin note:This cache is being maintained by local geocachers.
