Geocache Description:

Located on the Extraterrestrial Highway, (375) north of Rachel, NV. Watch for cows! Road is Open Range.

The Area 38 Geocache was placed on August 19, 2003 along the Extraterrestrial Highway. It is a silver ammo box. Please be careful driving on Hwy. 375 because the area is "Open Range." Drivers frequently encounter cattle on the road. Also, if there are thunderstorms in the area, parking off the road can get you stuck in the mud. Please drive safely. Do not approach the cache if there are cattle standing around. It might spook the bulls, (seriously!) Other than that, ah... slight caution, the cache is easy to find. The drive down Hwy. 375 is a lot of fun and I strongly recommend staying at the Little A'Le'Inn if you are way out there. They are located in Rachel, south of the cache. The cache is called Area 38 because it is located where the line 38 N crosses the Extraterrestrial Highway. If you see any aliens, offer them a ride!

Initial cache contents:
8 bags of bendable aliens
Hwy. 375 Visitor travel bug
camera - please return when full

Note, May 14, 2005: I guess the cache is looking full! If someone could please do me the favor of taking out the junky stuff, (bits and pieces of children's toys, plastic crap, etc.) I would really appreciate it. Thank you! I do not live close by, and I am planning to visit the cache later this summer.
