I’ve seen this idea a
few times in a couple of different regions so I thought I might
try one around here.
Here’s the
Idea:
The coordinates point to the stash like any
regular cache.
Easy right?
WRONG!
The container is:
LOCKED!
It’s easy to find the cache but you can’t get into it unless you
have the key.
Now The
Tricky Part:
Somewhere within 20 km's of the cache is a key to unlock
the container. . It's
floating from cache to cache. You'll have to keep track of the
logs below to find it. With some skill and a bit of luck you should
be able to catch up to it.
Once you’ve found the cache and
re-locked the container you'll have 48 hours to place the key into
another cache somewhere within a 20 km radius.
"Please Place A Log On This
Page With Details Of Where You Left the Key and It Should
Include The Waypoint Code from the cache" so that others can keep track. Try to
keep the key moving. There are plenty of sites to circulate
the key through to make it interesting. It's OK to reuse a
cache if you need to.
Please don’t move the key beyond the
20 km radius as it may get trapped.
The trail head parking is located at these
coordinates: N 43o 25.129' W 079o 51.653'.
Right beside the cemetery, look to the west for the entrance to the
Bruce Trail. Follow the white blazes on the trees.
Please be
Cautious: This is the Niagara
Escarpment and it contains some dangerous terrain such as deep
crevices and sheer cliffs. Remember to keep an eye at all times on
the younger cachers.
