Geocache Description:

Maps can be downloaded on the user's web link above.. or from http://homepage.mac.com/sfe/henry/estabrook/maps.html We parked at Kibby Pl & Estabrook Rd in Carlisle Concord line. There is a trail on Lowell Rd that we could not find. Don't park in the Middlesex School this is private land. From Kibby & Estabrook was a 35 min walk one way Parking is also available from the other side of Estabrook Rd coming in from Barnes Hill Rd.

The Estabrook Woods is about 1200 acres of woodland, hills, and ledges. Few people know of the uninhabited Estabrook Country. These trails are long, and there are no trail markings. You will need the map to be able to find the cache. The trail is relativly flat, except for the last part which consist of boulders and ledge over looking the pond. Enjoy the view from the bench on the top of the ledge.GPS may be affected by the trees, but not much, depending on the season. You may end up donating blood to the mosquito fund. They may be bad, (considering the hike is long) and that there are swamps in the area. ***KB1LQC and KB1LQD (Geo Twins) performed some cache maintenance on 6-12-2012. Replaced the logbook and added a pen. Someone already replaced the container so we left that, thank you! Moved the cache about 2 feet to slightly less obvious location (it was sitting in the open).
