Otis Overlook Traditional Cache
Please note Use of geocaching.com services is subject to the terms and conditions

This cache offers an excellent view of the Honey Lake Valley. It is perched on a cliff of reddish welded volcanic ash (ignimbrite). The road (accessed from Milford or Doyle) leading to the cache travels through scenic mountain meadows on the Diamond Mountains in the Plumas National Forest.
The first hint below are the coordinates for the turnoff from the main road. You will be following Dooley Creek east past a left turn to the Plinco Mine and past a right turn toward Doyle. The road continues along the south side of a flat topped mountain turning gradually north. A 4WD vehicle can drive to within 100 yards of the cache. 2WD vehicles should park at N 40 06.365, W 120 16.627 below Juniper Spring and walk about 3/4 mile up a gently sloping road. The road from here has a muddy spot at the spring and gets rockier. You are looking for an ammo box.The cache itself is camouflaged (the second hint below has a clue).
