At a rest area on US 17 near New Bern NC
This should be an easy park and grab as you travel down U.S. 17. Don't be surprised if the groundskeeper comes out to say 'hi' and even helps you out. Do be stealthy and re-hide this container well. This cache has been muggled in the past by kids and folks out walking their dogs.
You don't need to cross the ditch to find the cache, but you will need to get very close to the ditch. There's a photo in the gallery called "approaching the cache site" if you need an extra hint to focus in on the right area.
The cache is now an ammo box. There is a disposable camera inside. Take your picture and leave the camera. And please note the exposure number you use (and what you're wearing) so we'll know when to change the camera, and we'll know who you are when we develop the pictures. It's been fun to see the faces of all the cachers who have stopped by! Check back and we'll post all the photos on the cache page.
Please, if you pick up a travel bug or coin, log it in and move it along. I know it can be easy to lose track, especially for vacationers, but do your best since this is a good location for trackables to get miles on them.
