Geocache Description:

One of the most beautiful best kept secrets on the Gulf Coast is Bon Secour. The Cache is a large camo plastic jar located a very short distance into a wooded area.

It is possible at times that there will be many geomuggles in the area. In order to preserve the Cache, stealth may be required. Please re-hide with care.

BON SECOUR

When the French, Spanish, English and the Baltic Germans founded the community they called it “Bon Secour” which literally means “the good security” or as it is more commonly understood today “Safe Harbor”. Still today from its docks shrimp boats, oyster boats and fishing smacks set out every day and a big fish and oyster house handle their catch.

This is truly a magical, mystical place. Enjoy the discovery, the history, be sure to check out the local seafood markets and of course find the Cache. I work in the area so I will be able to maintain the cache.
