Geocache Description:

Nice easy walk on edge of woodland

RELOCATED 6th October 2005 after original went walkies!

Daresbury Firs or Keckwick Hill - both names apply.
If you park in the layby at N53 20.260 W02 38.224 do not try to cross the field but walk North along the road for 0.1 mile and enter the wood by the signed path.
The woodland and picnic area are to the east of the entrance path and could also be reached from Keckwick Lane.

On a clear day you should enjoy the view if you go a hundred yards or so beyond the cache - at least two other cache sites can be seen from here albeit many miles away.
The tower which looks like an overgrown water tower is part of the research laboratory and used to house a particle accelerator but is now redundant and the site is being redeveloped.
While here do visit Daresbury Church to see the Lewis Caroll window.
The box is not overlarge so please do not overfill it and please make sure the lid is snapped fully home.
