This whole idea started in '03 when every weekend, usually on
Sunday mornings, I - the cache owner - would be out visiting her
PDX Airport TB cache. I could read in the logbook whatever other
geocachers I managed to miss meeting by just a few hours sometimes.
Then I realized, why not make a fun thing out of it?
So for awhile, I made it every sunday. That petered out after
several weeks, so I put this cache event in suspended
animation.
I didn't know what the heck to DO with this thing until Co-Pilot
and Lobotomy spoke up in June '04 and inspired in me the confidence
to revive it. Give them credit for getting the GeoMunch revived!
Waydago, you guys! :-)
Basically the GeoMunch goes like this: Show up around 9:30am at
the coords above. (It's the smaller building, not the bigger one.)
Enjoy the food! They have a pretty good $3 bowl of oatmeal if you
wish.
Since there is no way to predict attendance, this means either
you get some great geocaching folks to talk to (maybe a lot?) as
well as an honestly good breakfast, or you'll just get an honestly
good breakfast. Thus it is a win-win situation for you either way.
You might even meet the cache owner coming around once in awhile.
:)
PLEASE NOTE the GeoMunch logging rule: your first visit can be
happily noted as a Found It - BUT if you want to log any subsequent
visits, please just Post A Note. Thanks.
Because of Mother's Day causing havoc for Geomunching, every May
event will be held the first Sunday of the month.
