This virtual cache replaces the traditional cache The Hi Hi. This is an historic yet modern amphitheatre and today still stands as a memorial to the Third Lanarkshire Rifle Volunteers.
The Third Lanark RV formed a football club on 12th December 1872, and played at Cathkin Park in the south side of Glasgow.
The park stood in the shadow of Hampden Park, Scotland’s national stadium. While Hampden remains home to Queens Park Football Club, sadly Third Lanark played their last ever match against Dumbarton FC on 28th April 1967 and a Court Order in June of 1967 finally closed the turnstiles at Cathkin Park forever.
