Geocache Description:

A VIRTUAL cache to be found on the Howth peninsula. What are you looking for? A grave. The grave of a celebrity. Association with music. To be honest, your GPS co-ordicates should bring you very close to the grave and it stands out more than all those around it.

Originally this cache required finders to send me a verification photo (usually of themselves) at the grave to prove they had *actually* been there and not claimed a find from the comfort of their armchair at home.

Personal circumstances and cachers who have lost or never understood the spirit of geocaching, and are more concerned with accumulating numbers added to me regarding this cache with more irritation than joy.

So ....... to cut a boring story short, feel free to 'find' the cache. If you wish to send me a photo of yourselves then that will be a bonus for me but it's no longer mandatory to verify your claim.

For those who are interested ... the grave is of Phil Lynott, leader of the band Thin Lizzy, who was known as The Black Rose and died in 1986.

This year, 2019, his mother, sadly, passed away and was interred in the same grave. She regularly maintained the grave and met some of the cachers who visited.

Paul (Shakes) Timon.
