Quidi Vidi Battery Traditional Cache

This cache is located along the shoreline on the north side of Quidi Vidi Harbour. As there are vertical drops nearby I would not want to bring small children unless they can be closely supervised. Depending on how you approach the cache the route can be fairly easy to moderate difficulty. Along the way I saw a number of ducks and more blue berries (and pickers) than I could count.
Quidi Vidi Battery; was originally constructed by the French in 1762. Quidi Vidi Battery was abandoned and rebuilt several times over the intervening years and is now a popular tourist attraction (in season) where the guides may be found dressed in period 1812 Royal Artillery uniforms. The cache itself is a 2L container hidden overlooking this historic site and is a great place just to sit and contemplate life. As with all my caches the lat and long posted here are an average of 5 readings.
