Frövifors paper mill museum
The Frövifors paper mill museum is the only one of its kind i Sweden.
Here by the upper falls at Frövifors a complete paper mill dating from the early years of the 20th century has been preserved intact, in true-to-life surrondings alive with sounds and smells of busy activity.
The museum´s two papermaking machines, complete with all their peripheral equipment, remind visitors of the industrial traditions that laid the foundations for Sweden´s welfare.
Also preserved in the museum is Sweden´s oldest papermaking machine, dating from 1872. It was orignally in use at Emsfors bruk and subsequently at Skoghall.
