Painted Desert Virtuel cache
While there is a lot of desert that looks painted, this is the official one in Petrified Forest NP.
Stop here for one of the best vistas of the Painted Desert. On a good day you can see all the way to the San Francisco Peaks near Flagstaff and to Navajo Mountain near Lake Powell. The sign there has changed since this was created, so until I can get back and create a new question, to get credit for this cache please post a picture of the sign at this location. Also, please post your photos of the painted desert if you have them.
