This cache was placed following the frustration in knowing I couldn't place the cache on the top of Regan Butte. NOTE: THIS AREA IS OFF LIMITS BETWEEN FEBRUARY 1 AND JULY 1 BECAUSE OF GOOSE NESTING.

PLUS: A traveler. Regan Butte (3,310') is named for Daniel Regan, cattleman, who homesteaded here in 1874. He believed the land would soon be overgrazed, so he sold and moved. One half mile down stream from the cache location, is Regan Bend of the Payette River. The original Regan homestead was on the south side of the river near the bend. A cacher can drive back to Emmett on the south side of the river. Take the drive.....
