Geocache Description:

Blue Hole Recreation Area is located in the Kisatchie National Forest near the Fort Polk Military Reservation.

This cache in down Lookout Road leading into the training areas of Fort Polk. You do not need any special pass to get into this area. DO NOT ENTER INTO AREAS THAT ARE BARRICADED!! During a Joint Readiness Training Center exercise you might be considered part of the training if you are in the wrong area. Blue Hole Recreation Area is off limits to Military Vehicles so you not have to worry about them. This is a nice area for a picnic, a covered area and Bar-B-Que pit along with restroom facilities are provided. There is a nice walking area around the recreation area for your enjoyment, Hope you enjoy the area. The Cache container is a Military Ammo can with the Groundspeak logo painted on the side. The original contents are: A 519th Military Police Battalion Crest 2 519th Military Police Battalion Coins A Pack of AA and AAA Batteries for your GPSr An American Flag patch that I wore while deployed to Bosnia-Herzegovina during 96-97 2 packs of Field Floss A small pocket knife A set of Mardi Gras beads 2 plastic rings A Lord of the Rings card A small decorative soap (an addition from my daughter)
