Geocache Description:

Conundrum-The Cadburys Creme Egg Mystery. Was a book by Don Shaw and illustrated by Nick Price and was released in 1983. The 12 paintings and accompanying verses contained clues to the whereabouts of 12 buried caskets. These caskets contained a `certificate of ownership` with a telephone number which the finder called to claim an exquisite 22 carat gold egg created by Garrard, the Crown jewellers. Each egg had a retail value in excess of £10.000.

The Conundrum cache is my tribute to this fantastic mystery. I spent many long hours studying maps and trying to solve the verse that accompanied the illustrations, but all without luck, although i did come very close to where one of the caskets was buried. The cache i have hidden is in the same place as that casket, although not buried. It lies off the A3124 on a very quiet country lane that runs through the hamlet of Itton and beyond. Therefore, this is a roadside cache and is easily accessible. The cache contains the usual bits and pieces, log book etc., but i`m afraid to say that there are no golden eggs. Please note that this is only a 1 litre cache so it will take only small items. For those of you who tried solving the original puzzle Conundrum, you may well know where the cache will be hidden! Good luck
