Geocache Description:

The best time to visit the Toll House is Saturday or Sunday from 1:30-4:30 from May until October because the Toll House is open for tours. The cache is located in a picnic area outside of the house.

The LaVale Toll House was built in 1836 and is the last remaining toll house in Maryland. The 7-sided building has windows that were designed to allow the gatekeeper to see traffic in both directions.
