Geocache Description:

View from the top of the Verde Valley and Camp Verde. PArking area is off I-17. A 7/10th mile hike.Terrain is medium steep, on a cow trail on the ridge top. Cache is tan and black ammo can.......So go get a "round tuit"!!!!!!!!!!

1-11-2004- had to replace the box, as someone took the whole thing. Beginning to think no one went up there, now I know for sure. It is back, so go take a look.

Take I-17 Exit 285, turn west. You run out of road pretty quick, so you will know where you are.. There is a locked gate at the parking area which you hike around. The second gate is near the water tanks.

Parking is at N 34 degrees 33.652' W 111degrees 54.577'
off I-17 exit 285, on the west side of the interstate. It is a good area to hike, bike or horse back ride. Walk around the locked gate at the parking lot, following the road to the water tanks and gate (please close the gate at the tanks). Beyond the tanks on the road follow the trail to the east and then follow your GPS. The cahce is on a hill top, which measured at .7 mile from the parking area.

Both gates are now locked due to cattle getting in the wrong places. Climb the second if you must, not a problem.

There is an ATV trail that crosses the Verde Valley. It has a gate on it just west of the water tanks. If you arrive from this trail, please stay on the trail, don't ride to the cache.
