The cache is hidden on the Madritschjoch at 3142 meters above sea level. This is the highest possible place to cross the Alps with a mountainbike!
I placed this cache in the morning of the fourth day of our MTB Transalp adventure from St. Anton to Riva.
A good starting point is the Schaubachhütte (N46 29.441 E10 35.823) at 2581 m.
It is roughly about 50 meters away from the sign "Stazione a Valle / Val Martello". It is a semi micro cache (about 3 times the size of a 35mm film canister) which is wrapped in a zip lock bag. It is covered with three small flat stones.
