A challenging walk with fantastic views as a reward.
The cache is an ammo can on Fremington Edge, an outcrop of limestone, above the tiny hamlet of Fremington and overlooking the beautiful village of Reeth, capital of Swaledale.
On a good day there are extensive views up Swaledale and Arkengarthdale.
The cache can be approached up the steep hill from High Fremington, a walk of about a mile all up hill, or you could come across the moor from the old mining hamlet of Hurst also about a mile, but much flatter.( If you are coming from this direction the difficulty reduces to about 2 stars! )
