Geocache Description:

A unigue 2 part multi themed cache located near Shores Lake in the Ozark National Forest north of Mulberry.

The first part of this cache is near the overlook to Shores Lake.

It is a micro container with cards in it. The cards contain partial coordinates. The remaining numbers must be filled in from information about the life of our 1st President George Washington.

The specific information you must know BEFORE going to the cache sight is as follows:

Complete date and year of inaguration.
Year in which he was commissioned a Lieutenant Colonel.
Age at death.
Number of terms served.

The 2nd cache is a standard size ammo can, that is very well camoflouged, for trading items and contains a log book. This is a themed cache full of USA related items: flags, key chains, stickers, pins,etc. Please try to keep the theme going, but if you don't have anything appropriate, just leave your George coins and George bills.

9-15-03 UPDATE! Mooremonkeys have claimed a FTF on George. They informed me the coordinates for the 2nd cache are approximately 40-55 feet off. It will not be necessary to go down near Hurricane Creek. Stay in the area around the trail that leads beside the rock wall (see trail near rock wall photo below).

10-11-03 UPDATE! Some geocachers are still having difficulty so I will post a clue. For the 2nd cache, park next to the LARGE rocks next to the bridge over Hurricane creek. Decrypt the clue ONLY if you are tired of searching or just plain give up, as the clue should lead you right to it. The clue begins at the parking area for the 2nd cache.
