This was the first of hopefully many UTAG Ego Trips. The cache was originally a geocaching event but the coordinates now listed are for the permament ammo box left commemorating the many milestones of new and seasoned cachers alike. The hike to this cache commemorated UtahJean's 1000th cache find! Jean ended up having the most finds that day but one could tell that everyone there had great joy in achieving their own milestones that day--and we were there to share that joy.
You can drive a car to a parking location that you begin your hike from. The road is slightly washboard in a few areas, but cars can make it.
The hike from the parking area takes about 1 to 1.5 hours round trip, depending on how much time you spend on top taking in the view. There is a well defined trail with no bushwhacking. There's a little over a 500 ft elevation gain in about 1 mile of hiking. The last 100 yards or so is a little steep but you won't have a problem with footing.
