Geocache Description:


9/15/07 - Replaced cache container with an ammo can.

This is in an AOL tin painted rust color. This was a spur of the moment decision to plant a cache at Union Valley which for some reason doesn't already have one like the other Ice House Road lakes do. We didn't have an ammo can available so this was sort of a log only cache with some items in it such as some fishing gear, coins, bandaids and wash 'n dries.

The coordinates are a composite of the most common numbers we pulled up but the trees played around with us. The clue will make it quite easy to find however.

Use the parking area just before the campground which is a fee area during the summer months. They stop charging after 9/16 but didn't indicate when they start. You don't want to start from inside there anyway. No need to cross the fence visible from the road. Let me know what you think about the rating; the suggested rating would have been 2/4 but it just isn't that difficult. I would have listed it as a 1.5/2.
