Chuck Walla: Greetings from Geocaching.com!

Since you have not responded to my reviewer log about your cache, the cache has been archived.

Some time ago, I posted a note to your cache page requesting a response from you to post what you were planning to do with the cache on the page and to send me a note. I have no record of a response, and no response tells me that you are not planning on replacing or repairing this cache. If I am wrong with that assumption, please let me know promptly. I can always unarchive the cache for you if needed.

Sincerely,

Geocache Description:

This Tupperware container is located not far off a hiking path that circles Cove Lake. No special skills or equipment is required for this trail.

The container is covered in camo tape and can not be seen from the trail.

There are two entrances to the trail. The first starts at the swimming area and it would be about a 2 1/2 mile walk to the cache. It is quite a nice walk if you have the time to kill.

The second entrance is located at the parking area by the spillway. From there the walk is around 1/4 a mile. It's your choice.

If you really want to get in the spirit then you can travel up the mountain to Cameron Bluff Campground, atop Signal Hill, the highest point in Arkansas at 2,753 feet. From there travel across Mossback Ridge to the Greenfield of East End Picnic Areas. The trail across Mossback Ridge skirts several wildlife openings and offers vistas of the Petit Jean Valley to the south. This route is 11 miles, or so, long.

As for me, I took the shortest route.

The cache is located on a spur of the trail around the lake. The spur leads up to a vista overlooking the lake. After you find the cache you should check it out. I'll have to check it out myself after I go back. I didn't even realize why the spur was there until I got home and read the brochure.

Oh yeah, back to the cache. I think I have it pretty well hidden. You shouldn't be able to see it from the trail but you won't have to go deep woods hiking to find it either. Just be sure to arrange everything back like it was when you leave.

On a side note, this cache is located in the Ozark National Forest which is under the control of the United States Department of Agriculture and is not required to carry a permit from the Arkansas Parks Department.

Rusty Da Dog and Twoinchspur both have told me that the coordinates are off a little. If the next person finds them off I'll go back and recheck it. My GPS had it dead on target when I placed it but I'll bow to the majority.
