BRUGGE WITH LOVE.
Rond N 51° 11.848 - E 003° 13.230 (nabij voorkant station Brugge) is parkeerplaats ( vrij of betalend ) in overvloed. De wandeling is ongeveer 6 km en de foto’s neem je best mee. Noteer de gevonden resultaten om op het einde de coördinaten van de cacheplaats te kunnen samenstellen.
Getallen steeds herleiden tot één cijfer ; vb. 8 + 19 – 2 = 25 >>> 2+5= 7 ( cijfers van eindgetal steeds blijven optellen tot je één cijfer bekomt !)
Around N 51° 11.848 - E 003° 13.230 (Near front of railroad station Brugge) is a lot of parking place ( free or parking fee). The walk is about 6 km and you have to take the photos with you . Note down the results you find, necessary to put together the coordinates of the cache location at the end.
Reduce the numbers always to one number at the end ; 8 + 19 – 2 = 25 >>> 2 + 5= 7 ( add up the numbers of a result , again and again until you have one number !)
1) De wagen geparkeerd ? Goed, ga naar de startplaats wpt 1 ( N 51° 11.881 - E 03° 13.554) ( ondertussen kom je waarschijnlijk foto 1 tegen , Minnewater in de verte). Hier is een WC !
Neem de brug over het water en ga naar links. Dan zie je foto 2 (Minnewater) rechts op volgende brug ; “BRUGGE WITH LOVE. “, gooi een muntje en doe een wens !!!
The car is parked ? Good, go to the start wpt 1 ( N 51° 11.881 - E 03° 13.554)(meanwhile you’ll see photo 1, Lake of Love very far away). Here is a WC (toilet) !Take the bridge over the water and go to the left. At the following bridge you see photo 2 (Lake of Love) on the right side ; “BRUGGE WITH LOVE.”, throw a coin and make a wish !!
2) wpt 2 ( N51° 11.927 - E 03° 13.326)
Hier zie je een standbeeld van de beeldhouwer Pickery, het geboortejaar geeft A. Volg het pad verder, richting west naar wpt 3.
Here is a statue of the sculptor Pickery, his year of birth gives A. Follow the path direction west to wpt 3.
3) wpt 3 ( 51° 12.061 - E 03° 13.136)
Koning Albert I. Het aantal letters (geen cijfers) op het voetstuk geeft E. Volg het pad tot wpt 4.

4) wpt 4 (N 51° 12.288 - E 03° 13.060)
Hier moet je het aantal meeuwen tellen (zeer goed kijken !) bij de top van de zuil bij de vissers,dit geeft C.De hoogste persoon van het standbeeld kijkt in de goede richting van wpt5.
Here you have to count the sea-gulls (look very,very good !) at the top of the pillar near the fishermen to become C. The highest person of the statue looks in the good direction to wpt 5.
5) wpt 5 (N 51° 12.343 - E 03° 13.257)
Nu zie je een muursteen naast de ingangsdeur.Het sterfjaar van Bernardus Benedictus Barvoet ( eigenaardige cijfers !), geeft F. Volg de straat achter het gebouw naar links naar wpt 6.
Now you find a gravestone in the wall near the door. In what year did Bernardus Benedictus Barvoet die (peculiar figures !), this year gives F. Follow the street behind this building to the left, to wpt 6.
6) wpt 6 ( N 51° 12.293 - E 03° 13.440)
Hier tel je het aantal lelies op de beide zijbordjes samen en je bekomt G. Kijk rond en ga naar dichter Gezelle, daar vind je H door het jaartal op het beeld zelf ( dus op het beeld zelf !). Dan naar de markt /belfort, wpt 7.
Weet je dat er een meridiaan is aangeduid op de markt met behulp van grote koperen spijkers in de grond? Kijk op hoek Sint-Amandsstraat en markt (N 51°12.516-E 03°13.433)
Here you count the lilys on both side bords together, that is G. Look around and you find the statue of poet Gezelle, there you’ll find H by the year on the statue itself ( so, on the statue itself !) Then go to the marketplace/belfry of Brugge, wpt 7.
Do you know that a meridian is indicated with big copper nails in the ground of the marketplace? Look at connection Sint-Amandsstraat/marketplace (N 51°12.516-E 03°.13.433)
7) wpt 7 (N 51° 12.502 - E 03° 13.476)
Kijk naar het balkonnetje boven de ingang en tel het aantal draakjes ( waterafvoer van balkonnetje), dit is K. Ga langs de voorgevel richting oost via het straatje naar wpt 8.
Look to the little balcony above the entry and count the little dragons (drainage of water from balcony), that is K. Now go along the face of the belfry and take the street direction east to wpt 8.
8) wpt 8 ( N 51° 12.515 - E 03° 13.606)
Hoeveel gekleurde schildjes zie je onder al de vensters samen van het stadhuis ( niet de schildjes onder de beelden), dit geeft J. Kijkend naar het stadhuis, neem je het straatje via de doorgang ( links van stadhuis) en ga door in ZO-richting tot wpt 9. Je wandelt voorbij de vismarkt die nog steeds gebruikt wordt.
How many coloured shields under the windows of the town hall ( not under the statues ) do you see, that gives J. Looking to the town hall, take the small street ( passageway) left from the town hall and go direction south-east to wpt 9. You pass the old fish market, still in use.
9) wpt 9 ( N 51° 12.390 - E 03° 13.857)
Hier staat, in de vijver, een standbeeld met personen.Het aantal vrouwen ( kenner of niet ?!?) geeft B. Wandel door het park met prachtige eeuwenoude bomen. Voorbij de kerk, de straat volgen tot foto 3 (Gentpoort). Nu het pad nemen, naar rechts , onder de bomen, langs het water, naar wpt 10.
There is a statue in the pond with persons. The number of women gives B ( specialist or not ?!? Look good). Now, walk through the park with age-old trees. Once you passed the church, follow the street to foto 3 (Gentpoort). Then take the path, to the right, under the trees and along the water to wpt 10.
10) wpt 10 (N 51° 12.079 - E 03° 13.952).
Het aantal vensters, groot en klein ( goed kijken !) van de watertoren geeft L.
The number of all windows, big and small (look good !) of the water tower gives L. .

Blijf het brede pad volgen en steek de straat over. Volg de weg (niet voor auto’s), richting ZW, onder de bomen ( niet de grote straat langs het water !!!). Plots herken je een brug aan je linker kant, steek die over en je bent aan het startpunt. Zet je even en bereken de coördinaten van de cacheplaats :
D = G – H , M = F – L
Follow the big path and cross the road. Follow the road (not for cars), direction SW, under the trees ( not the big street along the water !!!); Suddenly you will recognize a bridge on your left, take the bridge and you are at the starting point. Sit down and calculate the coordinates of the cache location :
