Short walk from the parking lot with lots of steps
Welcome to Lanterman's Mill. Upon entering the mill, one is given the rare opportunity of stepping into the past - - into an era experienced by our ancestors.
While in the mill, observe the pioneer ingenuity involved in the early production of meal and flour. Smell the sweet aroma of freshly ground grains. Hear the gentle trickle of water as it flows toward the wheel. Feel the rumbling vibrations of the stones as they whirl, grinding the various grains. Later, if you would like, try baking some Johnny Cakes, a staple of an early American diet made with stone-ground corn meal.
Season May threw October Closed on Monday.
Open Tuesday - Frday 10 to 5PM
