12/16/03 For the rainy season I suggest you go the easy way, park and skirt the trees heading north and then west. The straight through trail is too wet.
This cache is in a brand new Metro Park. The Parking coords are 45.17.798 N, 122.47.924 W, this is the only possible place to park safely. 10/6/03 I have changed this to a three terrain, for those who were concerned, but I have to say in So. Oregon this would only be a two.
This is our first cache and we are very excited. This is one of our favorite places to hike. Metro bought this park, but have yet to develop it. There is a fun trail that has grown up over the summer. It's there so keep watch. The cache is on the trail. The only bushwacking needed is in the last 15 feet, so be respectful. The trail itself is not suitable for preschoolers, but great for dogs. Since no one goes here there is no one for the dogs to bother. Metro and the school district own all the land, but the field and the hazelnut orchard are leased by farmers. Please skirt them both as much as you can. We placed 5 travel bugs in this cache for your enjoyment, and would love to see some more continue their journey here.
If you want to go all the way around you can. This is a terrain of two but it is not as fun.
