The cache is a clear plastic container with a blue rimmed lid. The cache is hidden just off of part of the Palmetto Trail in the Enoree District of the Sumpter National Forest. The Palmetto Trail when completed will run from the mountains of SC to the seashore. It will be one of the few cross-state trails in the US. The walk to the cache is not very difficult. The distance to the trail will be either .2 of a mile from the Franklin Road Trail Head or .4 miles if you start at the gate at the intersection of the David Branch and Guilder’ Creek road intersection. All of these roads are gravel forestry roads and are well maintained by the forestry. Any type of vehicle can access the trail points. The cache is somewhat hidden and will require some looking. The cache contains the following items: Log Book (too stay with the cache) Pocket knife Maze game Sunflower Seeds First Aid Kit Whistle Trash bags Bubbles Poncho Silly Putty Vice Grip pliers ET Travel Bug The original cache is lost. I replaced the cache with a new small plastic box, new items and a new logbook. 3/29/2020
