Park at 55.56.125N 004.46.530W Paths can be wet so good footwear. Choose a good day the views are outstanding.
You have a choice of routes depending on how much time you have, or how far you wish to walk.
If your cache bagging and dont want to spend more than an hour....Take the bridge past the Watermans Cottage. This is the end of the Greenock Cut. Water ran throught the sluices and all the sugar refineries and woollen and paper mills in Greenock before reaching the sea.
If you've a couple of hours and fancy a bit of exercise. follow the cut to the right instead of going over the bridge. The views to the west are ample reward. and the path though occasionally muddy follows the contours and is easy going.
Or alternatively find the cache and keep heading west and walk the cut clockwise. The circular route either way is 7 miles.
Stay on the paths till cairn you see and then its time to leave them.
The cache, now a BDH Container wrapped in green gortex type material and tied with paracord..please retie and replace in a furtive sort of way.
