Detroit Metro Airport I-275/I-94 Travel Bug Motel Traditional Cache

While Geocaching.com would like to continue to hold the location for you, doing so blocks other cachers from placing caches in the area. We feel that this cache has been disabled for a period of time exceeding what is reasonable for the area, and thus I regretfully must archive it.

If you are able to get out and replace the cache, simply drop me a note and let me know the GC waypoint number of the cache or better yet, the URL of the cache page. I will be more than happy to take a look at it to see if it is still is within the guidelines of the Geocaching.com website for cache placement and posting.

Geocache Description:

Welcome to the 5 minute Stop-n-Drop Travel Bug Motel located barely outside the Detroit Metro Airport. This is a great spot for trading travel bugs for geocachers flying/driving in/out of Michigan. Try the easy access to/from the Detroit Metro Airport via I-275 (exit 15).

PLEASE use stealth- since this IS a busy area and dependent on the season there is little to hide behind at times....The “Stop-n-Drop Bug Motel” rules: 1. All travel bugs must register in the log book upon entering the hotel. When you leave a travel bug write its goal in the log book so that people can decide which bug to take. For directions on grabbing a bug from this page or showing it as placed elsewhere click on "User's Web Page" link above!2. It's ok to stop by and pick up a bug or two without leaving one if you can help a bug on its journey. It's the roads traveled and stories told that make travel bugs fun. If travel bugs were only about getting to the destination we would mail them there! Only take a bug if you can place it somewhere in the RIGHT DIRECTION within a week or two or three (if you really want to push it)! Please make a note in the hotel logbook on which travel bug you took. Don't forget to grab him from this page! 3. Although this caches main purpose is to help travel bugs along in accordance with their goals we know they enjoy something to do during their stay so feel free to drop SMALL trinket trades into the motel for them to play with. The cache is a rubbermaid cracker container- tall and rectangular. 4.
