Geocache Description:

This is the first of a two-stage cache located in a patch of old forest near Camp Camporee.

The very first cache I found was called "Camp Camporee" back in October of 2001. The cache disappeared several months later and was archived. Since then, I've been surprised that no caches have appeared in this area. IT's one of the more beautiful woods in the area with no undergrowth. You can literally see through the trees up to .2 miles away.

When I recently logged my 300th cache, I wanted to do something to celebrate. What better way than paying tribute to the cache that got me started and gave me the fever.

The first stage of this cache is a small container about the size of small aresol spray can. It is well hidden and contains the coveted coordinates to the second and final stage. I've nicknamed stage one "Eye of the Needle".

The Second Stage should be a bit easier to find but is loaded down with loot. I put some higher-valued items out for this one to celebrate my 300th find. My way of giving back to those who have been placing caches locally and giving me a reason to go find them.

I won't list the items here but some of them are pretty sweet. Please -- only take one item (or group of items if they are bagged together). I would encourage you to bring some to trade that the kids would enjoy. (Not much in this one for the youngsters at a the moment). Don't worry about trading up or even trading fairly. I just wanted to do something special with this one.

Special Note: Both stages are well hidden. Please replace them as you found them and take care to cover your tracks. I want this one to be challeging for new and old cachers alike.

Also be careful you are not detected. There are several trails crisscrossing the area. You might think you're alone deep in the woods and suddenly see a bicycle whizz by you fifty feet away. (which actually happened to me.
